SOMETHING FUNNY THAT HAPPENED TO US

It was a beutiful day in Paris. Sofia and I were 14, and we were having a walk around Notre Dame. Suddenly, we saw a crêpes stand. We were hungry so we decided to take part in the long queue in order to get a tasty crêpe. While we were on that endless queue, all of a sudden an unknown and creepy man started to approach us. We were very naïve so we didn't even notice that he could be "dangerous". But then, he asked us, in Spanish: 'Where are you from, girls?' Firstly, we didn't know what to say, but then we answered we were from Malaga. Suspiciously, he said that he was also from Malaga. Then he asked several questions and he proposed us to show us Paris and to give him our numbers. Finally, we were lucky enough and our crêpes were ready, so we could go! We took them and left that weird man.

WILL OUR LIFE IMPROVE DUE TO GENETIC RESEARCH?

Who could imagine 100 years from now that science would find out a cure for an ordinary  ssue nowadays as a flu? Almost everyone has wondered if science will be able to solve all of our issues, and make our lives better. However, this doesn’t seem to have been accomplished at all.
In fact, the genetic research seen on the films hasn’t arrived to the real life yet.  For example, in films like Gattaca where the main character takes advantage of the genetic science to modify himself to achieve his dream.

Besides, some hereditary diseases could be prevented to both animals and humans. Another advantage of genetic modification  is that they  can be genetically changed to have the features we want them to have.

In conclusion, we can see lots of achievements that genetical research have, so we believe that in the future its advantages wil increase and, that will solve not only all our hereditary issues but also many others health problems.

RECYCLING IS REALLY IMPORTANT FOR THE FUTURE OF THE PLANET.

Nowadays, recycling has become an ordinary action for almost every citizen. But if we look back 10 years ago, we weren’t aware of the importance of taking care of the environment. This generation has been taught since a very young age about how to take care of the planet and the consequences of not doing so. Actually, not recycling is seen as a bad action, because fortunately, the society has now a lot of information about how bad conserved is the Earth. We get this information thank to the advertisements, some talks about recycling, maybe at school to the children, etc.
We can think about many reasons to recycle, such as taking care of the  planet so future generations can enjoy the planet as much as our generation can.
In one hand recycling can reduce the consume of prime materials which are not unlimited as for example water, petrol to make plastic… In another hand, recycled objects tend to be less expensive than some of brand new ones, so that’s another reason to buy recycled stuff.

James Arthur

Hi people!

In this new post, I'm going to talk about James Arthur, the British singer who won The X Factor in Britain last season. He is 25 years old, and he sings and plays the guitar. He had a difficult childhood, because his parents got divorced when he was only 1 year old, and they hadn't almost talked each other since then. They didn't have any kind of relationship. Music helped James to move on. But when he auditioned for the first time at The X Factor, his parents met each other again, around 22 years later, and finally talked. It was incredible for James. Seeing his parents talking again and his family together. With his audition, the judges were astonished and stood up. His family couldn't avoid crying, even James cried with the judge's words. Here is the video where he talks a little about his story and his first audition:

Since I knew his story, I admired him. The strength he has, and the difficult moments he has lived all his life are a good proof that you can always move on. And finally, he got what he deserved: win, be admired. His voice is amazing and he reflects his feelings when he sings. In addition, his voice is very special, not like the rest.
During the program, he sang songs like "I won't give up" by Jason Mraz, "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson, "I'm sexy and I know it" by LMFAO, and of course, "Impossible" by Shontelle, his final song. That's maybe the song that James covered more popular:

He has some original songs, like "Hold on", "It's not over", "Let me win" or "Superman". I love all of them, but specially the last one, here you can hear it:

And his latest single is "You're nobody 'til somebody loves you":

And that's it! I hope you enjoy this great artist as much as I do! :)

Leroy Sanchez, on of my idols!

Hi people!
I'm going to talk about one of my favourite singer. He maybe isn't too popular, but he's a great artist. I'll start talking about his story.
He's a Spanish boy, who was born in Vitoria. His real name is Leroy Bejarano Sánchez, but his artistic name is Leroy Sánchez (@IamLeroySanchez). He uploaded his first video to YouTube when he was only 16, where he appears singing the song "Breakaway" by Kelly Clarkson and playing the guitar. He continued uploading more videos, singing songs like "Halo" by Beyoncé, "Down" by Jay Sean, "Walking away" by Craig David, etc. In his videos, he's really funny and kind!  Halo was one of his most popular videos, here you can see it.

He is the one who plays de piano and the guitar in his videos.  In addition, he has some videos singing with another people by the Internet, not face to face. For example, in this video singing "Lucky" by Jason Mraz ft. Colbie Caillat:

And when he was 19, one day, he received an important call from the USA. It was Jim Jonsin, the Beyoncé's producer, and he wanted him to go to Florida and record some songs. It was an enormous change for Leroy, he left his studies and went to Florida. He continued studying there, and he was living his dream. He continued recording cover of songs, and he also uploaded original songs in a studio, so the audio quality was better than his previous videos. Last year, he wrote a very special song called "Words Unspoken". It's special because it's been made with quotes of his fans. On his twitter, he opened the hasthag #WordsUnspoken. Everyone could tweet any quote with that hashtag, and Leroy chose some of them, so the lyircs of the song are made by lots of his fans. And in addition, the song is very beautiful, here you can here it:

In December, he filmed a sort of a videoclip of the song "People help the people". In my opinion, is a very deep song, I love it:
In February, he uploaded a video called "Nebulous", where he thanks everyone who has supported him and says that he would stop singing other artist's songs, and start making original music. Here it is:
After that, lots of his fans "complained", because they prefered the old videos singin popular songs. But in my opinion, it's a great decision. I enjoyed a lot his videos singin those songs, but making his own music is his chance to rise in the music's world. Is the only way to get popular, and he has a great talent to do it, I'm sure he will become more popular, he deserves it. Since he uploaded this video, he has uploaded few videos, because he has been working on the studio, and making his own disc. But he recorded a song with a very beautiful singer called Brittany Mullen. The song was written by her, and is called "War island":
And before this, the song "Fell off the moon", an original song written by Brittany Mullen, Frank Romano and, of course, Leroy Sanchez:
He has said on his twitter that he will soon show his work, and I'm very excited to hear it! I really appreciate him because I think he has a really great talent, he's more talented than other popular singers. And his story is worthy of merit, he started uploading his videos made at home to YouTube, and an importat producer found him. I think it's incredible.
Well, I hope you loved this artist as much as I do!! I leave here one of his best videos, "Love on Top" by Beyoncé, a very difficult song:
Enjoy it!! :)

Something about myself!

Hi people!

I'm going to introduce myself. My name is María and I'm 17 years old. I live in Málaga, in Spain. I love travelling and discovering new countries and cultures. I like speaking French and English, and that's the reason why I would like to study next year translation of both languages at the university. I've been three times at France, two of them were doing an exchange with French teenagers. It was a great experience that helped me to get my French better. And this year I have the chance of doing another exchange, but now in Boston! I'm very excited about it, and I hope it will help me to improve my English. I also hope meeting new people and discovering a new culture. I'm really excited and I'm looking forward to going there and meet them all!
Another thing that I love is music. I've been playing the flute at a conservatory since I was 8 years old. I also play a little bit the piano, and I'm learning to play the guitar. I have some videos singing with a friend of mine. We like singing known songs and do it personal. I love almost all kinds of music, and some of my favourites singers and bands are Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Beyoncé, Rihanna, etc. And also Leroy, a Spanish boy who isn't very popular. He has a great talent, which was discovered by his videos on YouTube. Music is very important for me. It helps me to get happier when I'm sad, or to relax when I'm stressed. For me, it's like a medicine.
Those are the thinks I like. And to describe myself, I think I could do it in three words: responsible, kind and organized. Those are my main virtues (or that's what I think so).
With all that, I think you now can know me quite well :)
